Welcome to The Campus Coach
Helping students navigate uni life with clarity, calm and confidence.
Find Your Focus, Own Your Uni Journey
University or College life is full of exciting possibilities, but it can also feel overwhelming, lonely, or a bit confusing. At The Campus Coach, I help students like you cut through the noise, build confidence, and take control of your time, goals, and wellbeing. No judgment, no one-size-fits-all advice: just a supportive space to think clearly, find your way, and thrive.
Let’s navigate this journey together, at your pace.
Hi, I’m Franck
With 25 years in UK Higher Education - as a Senior Lecturer, Senior Tutor, and Programme Director - I’ve taught and supported thousands of students. I know what it takes to succeed at university, and I’ve seen how the right support can transform a student’s experience and outcomes. A degree is a major investment, and coaching ensures you make the most of it. As a qualified coach, I help you build the skills, confidence, and focus to achieve your goals. Whether you’re stepping onto campus for the first time or wrapping up your final year, I'm here to help you turn effort into success. Let’s make your university journey count!
WHAT IS COACHING?
Coaching is your space to think aloud, gain clarity, and discover your own path.
I’ll listen deeply, ask the right questions, and help you uncover your strengths and blind spots - because the best answers come from you. No advice-giving, just powerful conversations that move you forward.
What we can work on
If you’re already a student
• Feeling stuck, lost or unsure where you’re heading
• Procrastination, perfectionism or lack of motivation
• Time management, focus and organisation (especially if you’re neurodivergent or find structure hard)
• Self-doubt, low confidence, or fear of failure
• Balancing studies, work, rest and relationships
• Preparing for life after your graduate
If you’re about to start uni or college
Starting uni or college is a big life change! It’s easy to feel unprepared. Coaching can help you:
• Build confidence and reduce anxiety before the big move
• Develop practical tools for independence (time management, prioritisation, goal setting)
• Understand what to expect — academically, socially and emotionally
• Set yourself up for success from day one
If You’re a Postgrad (MA or PhD):
Postgraduate study can be wonderful, but it can also feel isolating, and never-ending. I can support you with:
• Managing long-term research projects and writing your dissertation or thesis
• Staying motivated and focused (especially if you’re juggling work and/or family)
• Tackling imposter syndrome, fear of failure, or perfectionism
• Navigating supervisor relationships and academic pressure
• Creating sustainable routines that support both your work and your wellbeing
I’ve supported students for over two decades
I know how intense and fast university life can be, and how easy it is to feel like you’re the only one who hasn’t got it all figured out.
I’m also a certified coach, trained through a program accredited by the Association for Coaching. My approach is:
Calm and grounding – no pressure, no fixing
Warm and non-judgmental – you bring all of you
Focused and practical – we work with what’s real
Think of me as a travel companion for your university or college journey. Someone who walks beside you as you figure things out — at your own pace, in your own way.
Your questions answered
Here are answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about my coaching. If you don’t find what you’re looking for, please don’t hesitate to get in touch—I’m here to help.
-
We start with a free 30-minute introductory chat to explore your goals and see if we’re a good match. If you decide to move forward, we’ll schedule sessions - either one-off or regular - that last an hour and can take place online or in person (if local). You set the pace and focus; I provide a supportive, judgment-free space to help you find clarity and take action. My approach is flexible, practical, and tailored to your needs.
-
Think of it as a chat with a purpose. Each session is your dedicated time to focus on what matters most to you. We’ll start by checking in on how you’re feeling and what you’d like to explore. Through thoughtful questions and active listening, I’ll help you uncover insights, identify priorities, and create actionable steps - whether that’s tackling procrastination, building confidence, or planning for the future. You’ll leave with clarity, motivation, and clear steps to move forward. It’s a collaborative, judgment-free space where you drive the conversation.

Coaching focuses on you: your mindset, motivation, and personal growth. It’s about helping you build confidence, set goals, overcome challenges, and develop skills like time- management, focus, and resilience. I won’t teach you course content or give subject-specific advice, but I’ll help you unlock your potential, stay motivated, and navigate university life with clarity and purpose.
Academic tutoring, on the other hand, is subject-focused. Tutors provide expert guidance on specific topics, help with assignments, and teach academic skills directly related to your coursework. While tutoring strengthens your knowledge in a particular area, coaching empowers you to thrive as a whole person, both in and beyond your studies.

Absolutely! While I specialise in supporting students, my coaching training equips me to help anyone with personal development, goal setting, or overcoming challenges, regardless of their background or stage in life. If you’re looking for support in achieving a specific goal or growing personally, I’d be delighted to discuss how we could work together. Please get in touch!

Yes, I have experience coaching neurodivergent students, including those with ADHD and autism. I believe coaching is most effective when it’s tailored to each individual’s unique needs, strengths, and ways of thinking. My approach is flexible, patient, and judgment-free, ensuring that every session is adapted to support you in a way that works best for you. If you’d like to explore how coaching could help, I’d be happy to discuss how we can work together.

Coaching is most effective when it unfolds over time, allowing for deeper reflection, consistent progress, and lasting change. For this reason, my packages start with six hourly sessions, typically spread over a three-month period. This structure provides the space to build momentum, explore challenges, and achieve meaningful results.
That said, I understand everyone’s needs are unique. The duration of the coaching process and the length of sessions can always be tailored to fit your goals, schedule, and preferences. Let’s discuss what would work best for you!

Absolutely. I’m happy to speak with you to explore how coaching could support your young person, provided they are on board and willing to engage in the process. In fact, I’d suggest we arrange a group call - between you, your young person, and myself - so we can discuss their specific needs, goals, and the practicalities of the coaching relationship together. This ensures everyone is aligned and comfortable before we begin. Please get in touch to set this up.

As a certified coach, I’ve completed rigorous, formal training through a program accredited by the Association for Coaching. This means my approach is grounded in evidence-based methods, professional standards, and a commitment to continuous development.
Unlike an uncertified coach, my certification ensures I adhere to a strict code of ethics, which you can review here. This code protects your interests, guarantees confidentiality, and upholds the highest standards of professionalism. It’s not just about experience—it’s about accountability, expertise, and your peace of mind.
